HÉRNIA DO HIATO

Hérnia hiatal por deslizamento à tomografia computadorizada de tórax (seta preta). Hérnia do hiato ou hérnia de hiato é a passagem da parte superior do estômago para o tórax através do diafragma. Existem dois tipos principais de hérnia hiatal: deslizamento (95%) e por rolamento (5%).

Na hérnia de hiato por deslizamento, a junção gastresofageana se move para cima do diafragma (figura B); na hérnia por rolamento (ou paraesofageana), uma parte do estômago hernia através do hiato esofágico e fica ao lado do esôfago, sem movimento da junção gastroesofágica (figura C). Um terceiro tipo também é por vezes descrito, sendo uma combinação dos tipos I e II.

In slipped hiatal hernia, the gastreophageal junction moves upward from the diaphragm (figure B); in the hernia by rolling, a part of the stomach hernia through the esophageal hiatus and is next to the esophagus, without movement of the gastroesophageal junction (figure C). A third type is also sometimes described, being a combination of types I and II.
