SINAL DA CERA DE VELA ESCORRIDA

Extenso espessamento pleural com calcificação à direita (seta), que envolve o pulmão direito e reduz seu volume.

Essa imagem é conhecida como o sinal da cera de vela escorrida e é comum de ser observada na sequela dos casos de tuberculose que foram tratados no passado, antes da era antibiótica, através de pneumotórax induzido.

A lesão desvia a traquéia para a direita e a coluna, levando à formação de escoliose. Chaves: fibrose pleural.
